(an early) Thanksgiving and Time to Travel!

Well, I have been a really bad blogger but here I am in England feeling I should write. It is the beginning of my 3 weeks of traveling. I will be posting as often as I can so you can all see what I am up to.

After a wonderful last weekend at Ballymaloe with Kate, I flew to Bristol. It was a really nice, sunny day in Ireland so naturally it is grey and rainy in England. My housemate Nathalie is reviewing a couple restaurants and checking out Dorset (Southwest England), and she invited me along. We just arrived to the B&B and the really nice hostess let us have our own rooms, including one with a bathtub which made my day.

In a little while we are going to celebrity chef Mark Hix's new restaurnat called Hix Oyster & Fish House. Should be tasty. The little town we are in is right on the coast.

We are both pretty tired from the Thanksgiving festivities that ensued last night so I suspect it will be early to bed after a nice long dinner.

Below are some pictures from my last weekend at Ballymaloe. Kate arrived Friday morning and checked out the school, then we had dinner at Ballymaloe House (thanks Darina!). It was delicious! Saturday we went to the farmer's market then set up for the party and last night was my farewell party / Thanksgiving potluck. So much fun!
